The RAM Friction Hinge Mount for Tough-Bar with Roto-View & Pivot Feature (RAM-TB-FH1-PV4-ROTO1U) is an attachment accessory that allows you to secure a tablet directly to the RAM Tough-Bar. Designed for smooth adjustability and vehicle safety, this mount combines a precision friction hinge with the RAM Collar-Lock system, RAM Single Pivot Mount, and the Roto-View Adapter Plate. The friction hinge provides controlled, single-axis movementallowing you to tilt your device up and down (or side to side, depending on bar placement) for optimal visibility or quick access to vehicle controls, while the Roto-View Adapter Plate enables seamless rotation between landscape and portrait modes, and the RAM Single Pivot Mount adds further device adjustability. This solution uses tooth-lock washers to enable pivoting up to 180 degrees and utilizes a barrel nut instead of traditional adjustment knobs to provide tamper resistance and added security while on the go. The integrated Collar-Lock system acts as a protective stop on either side of the hinge, preventing over-rotation that could send a device into the windshield or dashboard during adjustment or impact. Together, these components provide stable, vibration-resistant performance, even when supporting heavier tablets. This mount supports 2-hole AMPS patterns, ensuring compatibility with RAM holders and GDS Docks.
